When you're trying to clear out all the fruit in your freezer that's been there for longer than a few weeks, it's time to make smoothies for breakfast tomorrow and dessert tonight. #pomegranate , #pepinomelon , #mango , #raspberry , #blueberries , #blackberries, #matcha powder, lime juice, aqua fresca, plain yogurt. A little tart but pretty damn tasty. #foodporn

Friday night was my first time back at The Blackwatch in many a year. They cleaned up the place considerably, it's no longer cash only, the darts are still there, as is the toxically deceptive pints of kamikaze. Much mirthy banter. Such haha.

It's from a period where I experimented with winged things as subject matter as well as started picking at my style by drawing straight to surface with a #rapidograph or #crowquill pen with no pencil guides. Here is a goofy emo #selfie (I was actually quite happy, but I resting-bastard-face by default) because they had super-comfy hooded black bathrobes and bowler hat lamps at this hotel. That's right, under the robe, I'm butt nekkid. I did not try to wear the lamps.

Not much of an #inktober entry, but it will have to do until I land in Melbourne and get a chance to draw something more substantive. I now can characterize Sydney as a lot like San Diego, except you swap a staccato "dude" with an emphatic "mate". The cup was a teeny Expresso from a really great shop called Mecca, right near the QVB.
